Posted on Thursday Jan 19 15:56:00 UTC 2012 Here is a pattern I have come up with for a headband suitable for a beginner.
Please note that I am using American terminology for the stitches
Using a chunky yarn and a size 7mm hook Chain enough stiches to fit around your head. Chain one turn and one double crochet per stitch to the end of the row. Chain one and turn Double Crochet the entire row chain one and turn continue this for 6 rows. Join the ends together. To make the middle piece chain 14 and single crochet into each stitch chain one and turn ...... tbc
Posted on Tuesday Dec 13 14:29:00 UTC 2011 The other night I was desperately trying to find Rocky's jumper from last year and it was no where to be found... It left me Wondering did Mr UA burn it ceremoniously on the wood burner when my back was turned? He does often cringe when my little Rocky Rockstar prances in sporting the latest bling that Mummy has made :)
I decided seeing as it has mysteriously vanished into the frosty morning air it was time to whip him up a little bespoke number ...... and a few hours later "voila" Rocky is once again the envy of all his friends!! I cant help but think it is missing a little embellishment ;)
![]() This pattern was designed for Rocky (measurements to follow) but can be adapted to any dog just extend your chain in step 1
In this pattern we will be working in the round - you may find a stitch marker helpful here
Round 1: Chain 65 (or appropriate length for your pooch) join last and first chain with a slip stitch. Chain 1
Round 2- *SC in next stitch and SC in each stitch in the round. Slip stitch into 1st SC and chain 1 * repeat for the next 14 rows.
Round 15: Chain 1.* SC in the next 40 stitches. Chain 1 TURN * repeat for the next 9 Rounds
Round 25: SC in the next 40 stitches the chain 20. Slip stitch in the 1st SC of this row to create a round.
Round 26: Chain 1. *SC into each stitch in the round.
Round 27: Chain 1 SC into each stitch
Round 28 : Chain 3 TC into each stitch.
Round 29 and 30: Chain 1 SC into each stitch and repeat. Weave in ends
Your jumper is now complete!!
I threaded a ribbon through the gaps in the TC stitches and tied in a bow :)
